After Centuries of research, they have able to find out who, how, and what purpose formed a circle in Wiltshire, UK, with these huge stones. this time researcher seemed to add even more wonder to a deep circle canyon near that prehistoric installation. The ditch has been found around an ancient architecture.
Stonehenge is the most famous prehistoric monument in the world. It was built in several stages. The first monument built about 5,000 years ago and a unique stone circle was created in the late Neolithic period about 2,500 BC.
Stonehenge is located on the Salisbury plateau in the southwestern country to Wiltshire in England. A huge number of tourists visit the UK every year to see this four and a half thousand-year installation. The circular canyon was found around the prehistoric Durrington wall, about two miles northeast os Stonehenge.
An archaeological team comprising several universities in the United Kingdom discovered the basin. Based on the data researchers say, this 1.2-mile diameter basin is also 4 and a half thousand years old like Stonehenge.
Archaeologist Vincent Gaffney led the research team. “it’s an unprecedented thing. ” he said. Even so close to Stonehenge, the basin has been undercovered for so long. He said they did not have to do any excavation to find the pit.
